I
have been a personal coach since 1999. I live in Central Otago,
New Zealand, and work with people nationally and internationally.
My coaching involves both on-site work and telephone work, so I
regularly travel to other parts of the country.
Some people want business
coaching ~ dealing with difficult team dynamics, time management,
building people skills, how to stop work from dominating everything
so they can get a few minutes each day for themselves, coping with
change or an ever increasing workload, and setting career goals.
Others come to me for life coaching ~ things like how to focus on
getting where they want to go, how to break free from a personal
rut, how to make better decisions, how to increase self esteem,
how to be bolder, or maybe just how to relax and be happier with
where they are at, and with those around them.
Everyone is different,
and always we start with where they are.
My credentials
I am a graduate of the
two-year coaching course with CoachU, the training arm of CoachInc.com,
the world pioneers of coaching training. I am regularly in touch
with other coaches worldwide as well as within New Zealand, and
often talk with my own coach, who keeps me particularly focused!
I have on the ground experience too. Before 1999, I was a senior
library manager. I got far enough up the ladder to realise that
my skills and attributes were better suited to working with people
in a direct way, rather than the vast other responsibilities of
senior management . That’s why I have developed a new career
in coaching. In 1999 I established my own coaching company,
Pinpoint Ltd, and things are getting better and
better ~ I get huge joy from what I do.
My library career is invaluable. Plenty of the people I coach are
library or public sector professionals. But whatever the focus,
each of my clients is special to me, and together we learn and discover
lots.
And on the personal front
I am marriied with two wonderful sons, now both living away from
home and we keep in touch regularly - phone, email, text - you know
the story !
