Success Stories

My key goal in coaching people is to have them achieve success in whatever they are aiming for, in ways that serve them best.  Mostly they are successes that people want to keep to themselves, but now and then I am able to persuade a client to let me share their story. 

Here are a few such success stories.  As with all my clients, it has been a delight for me to be part of their adventure !

Phil Kerslake ~ Coach, Author, Presenterer

Phil Kerslake inspires me with his humility and personal stamina. When I first met him in early 2005 he was recovering from chemotherapy and back in the corporate world after many months in and out of hospital.  But he was also on the edge of a major personal breakthrough and wanted my support. Not a guy to do things by halves he is now a fully-fledged member of the Wellington coaching community and throwing himself totally into his new business venture, writing, speaking and having a ball. Phil Darkins ~ Singer, Song-writer, Radio personality

Phil has long harboured a dream of producing his own CD, but for a whole variety of reasons kept putting it off.  He approached me in mid September 2004 to help him make this dream a reality.  Time was very tight - he wanted it recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced within 2 months.  But that was not all.  This was to be no ordinary backroom production.  His concept included a host of original arrangement work, string quartets, top class musicians and backing vocals, graphic design and artwork, and stylish photography. 

We met weekly, emailed frequently and shared more than a few tough moments, but Rhymes of Ancient Passion  was launched on his target date of Nov 20 (also his birthday!)   Phil came to refer to me as the cattle prod, and at times I am sure he wished I would just go away !!  But very quickly I came to share his dream ~ there was no way we were not going to hit the finishing line on time, and  besides, all future birthdays will now be a celebraton of this one. Suzie Patrick ~ Project Manager and all-round Super Woman

Suzie is one of my longest standing clients.  In fact she and I have been working together since last century!    Suzie has a background in Local Body customer service development, particularly when it comes to the use of smart savvy technology solutions.  She now runs her own very successful business, and specialises in working with organisations who want to build innovative solutions to increase their levels of customer service and staff satisfaction.   Back in the

beginning we worked on developing her business ~ now I am hard-pushed to get her to take holidays !!  In her spare time ( what spare time??  I hear her say ) she is a skilled and prize-winning body-builder.  Suzie is one tiny power-house.
